The eCommerce sector in Great Britain has been growing at the rate of 40% per year². In 2012, its value was estimated at approximately 78 billion pounds³ - i.e. almost 14 times the value of the Polish eCommerce. According to the September Report of Office of National Statistics on Retail Sales, ca. 10.2% of all retail purchases - excluding fuels - was made online. The highest rise was reported in clothing sector, where the number of dedicated transactions compared with same period last year increased by 18%4.

By the end of 2013, nearly 2,750 innovative terminals - based on different business models - will operate nationwide. InPost Parcel Lockers are presently available in 15 countries in the world. In only two years, they conquered the following countries apart from Poland: Saudi Arabia, Australia, Chile, Great Britain, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Estonia, Russia, Cyprus, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Works on obtaining 6,000 new localisations for the terminals are in progress.

The international strategy of Group - including also the British market - is pursued with the support of PineBridge Investment, a global private equity fund, and assumes launching 16,000 new terminals in Europe in the next four years. In the nearest 4-5 years, InPost Parcel Lockers will also appear in the Americas and in Asia. The total value of the investment may even reach 1 billion euros. In USA, Group plans to launch 10,000 parcel lockers by the end of 2016, while the first Asian terminals will appear in China - in Beijing and Shanghai.

InPost Parcel Lockers have won many industry competitions. The highest quality and innovativeness of the terminals was confirmed by Group's success at World Mail Awards 2013. The company was the winner in the Customer Service category, beating other leading operators, such as: Singapore Post and LibanPost. The innovative terminals have won themselves a permanent place in the minds of e-shoppers. It is the second time that e-customers have chosen InPost Parcel Lockers as the Best Product/Service Supporting E-Shop Logistics in eCommerce competition. InPost and NCR also won the Postal Technology International Awards in the Retail Innovation of the Year category. The jury awarded 5th generation modular version of the lockers the title of Innovation of the Year.
