Track or Treat

No tricks here - just treats! Whether you’ve ordered something special online or are sending back a return, there’s no need to fear where your parcel is. With InPost, you can track your delivery every step of the way - from drop-off to pick-up - faster than you can say boo! 

Here’s our Track or Treat guide to understanding your InPost tracking updates. 

 

Step 1: Get your tracking number 

Every InPost parcel comes with a unique tracking number - your ticket for seeing where your item is at all times. You’ll receive it via email from us or your retailer, along with details of where your parcel’s heading. If you can’t find it, check your junk folder (sometimes even good news likes to play hide and seek). 

Step 2: Visit our Tracking page 

You can follow your parcel’s every move on our Tracking page - or use the InPost app to keep an eye on all your sent and received parcels in one handy place.  

Step 3: Watch the magic happen 

Once you’ve entered your tracking number, your updates will appear. Not sure what they mean? Here’s the lowdown: 

Sit tight, your parcel’s loading 

Your order’s being packed up by the sender or retailer. Don’t worry - it’ll be on its way soon. 

️We’re on it 

The sender or retailer has dropped off your parcel, and one of our couriers will be collecting it shortly. 

It’s on the road 

Your parcel’s travelling through our network, moving from depot to sorting centre to your local delivery hub - until it reaches your chosen pick-up point. 

Not long now 

Your parcel has arrived at your local delivery centre and will be dropped off soon. 

Delivery day, yay! 

Your parcel has landed at a locker or shop and is ready for you to collect. Don’t forget - you’ve got 3 days to grab your goodies before they’re whisked away. 

Tick tock… 

Just a friendly reminder: 1 day left to pick up your parcel.  

Uh oh… your parcel is heading back to sender 

Sometimes, even the best-laid delivery plans take a detour. There are two reasons why you might see this: 

  1. Your parcel wasn’t picked up within 3 days - so we’ve safely returned it to the sender. We’ll always send reminders to help you collect on time. 

  2. We were unable to deliver to your chosen pick-up point, possibly due to roadworks or a technical issue at the locker. If that happens, we recommend contacting your retailer to repurchase. 

It’s back! 

Your parcel has officially made its way home to the sender. This can happen if it wasn’t collected in time or if there was a delivery issue (like roadworks or a full locker). The good news? Your retailer will be able to help you get things sorted. 

 

What if my tracking hasn’t updated? 

If your tracking status hasn’t moved in 48 hours, don’t panic. Sometimes roadworks or full lockers can slow things down, but most parcels start moving again within 24 hours. If it’s been over 72 hours, our Customer Care team will happily do some digging for you.
