You've mastered online shopping. You know your way around a checkout. But have you started your locker era yet? Whether you're dropping off or picking up, here's everything you need to know to make locker life work for you - no stress, no faff, no queuing.
Dropping off: get that parcel on its way
Got something to send? Nice. Here's the lowdown depending on how you're using InPost.
1) Sending with InPost Send
First things first – get your label. Head download the app or head here to buy your digital label (no printers needed). Our parcel prices are based on size not weight, so no need to stress over the scales.
Once you've got your QR code, you're good to go.
At the locker:
- Scan your QR code on the scanner below the screen
- The compartment door pops open, we suggest taking a step back
- Pop your parcel in
- Shut the door, tap "Finish", and you're done
Pro tip: check the app before you head out to make sure there's space at your chosen locker. Sorted.
Parcel doesn't fit? Please don't force it. Follow the on-screen steps to end your session and cancel your label from either within the app or by heading to our contact page - we'll refund you automatically. Then get a new label in the right size and try again.
If you’re at the locker and your parcel doesn’t fit, make sure you tap the screen. Then you can cancel your label either using the app or online.
2) Returning or marketplace shipping
Got a QR code or barcode from a retailer? Same vibes, slightly different flow:
- Scan your code at the locker
- Tap the screen to choose your compartment size
- Pop your parcel in, shut the door, hit "I'm finished"
Not sure which size you need? Here's a rough guide:
- XS - envelopes and tiny bits (not available at every locker)
- S - sunglasses, small accessories
- M - shoes, handbags, cookbooks
- L - boots, bulkier items, sports gear
Wrong size? No panic. Just close the door without your parcel inside, tap "My parcel doesn't fit" on screen, and pick again.
Picking up: your parcel, your schedule
Your order has arrived. Your locker is waiting. Here's how to grab it in under a minute.
Step one: wait for the ping
The moment your parcel lands in a locker, we'll drop you an email with a QR code and collection code. Got the InPost app? Even better - you'll get a notification straight to your phone.
Step two: get to the locker (or don't even bother tapping)
Scan your QR code at the locker screen, and the right compartment will open up. Or, and this is the good bit, use remote opening in the app to pop it open without touching anything. Super simple. Super smooth.
Step three: grab and go
The screen will show you which compartment is yours. Grab your parcel, make sure the locker's empty, tap "finished", and off you go.
Just a reminder: you've got 3 days to collect. If life gets in the way, you can share your QR code with a trusted person to collect on your behalf. We don't judge - that's what little brothers are for, right?
One more thing: redirect Yodel by InPost deliveries to a locker
Prefer to collect on your own terms? You can redirect your Yodel by InPost home deliveries straight to an InPost Locker. Just update your preferences in the Yodel by InPost app (or online), save your favourite locker, and never worry about missed deliveries again.
