24/7 InPost Locker Collections: Making Online Shopping Easier for Londoners
4 Mar 2026
As online shopping becomes part of everyday life for millions across London, convenience and flexibility have never mattered more. That’s why InPost is proud to be growing its partnership with Places for London (TfL Property Company) to bring 24/7 parcel lockers to key stations and neighbourhood hubs across the capital. By seamlessly integrating InPost Lockers into Londoners’ daily journeys, we’re making it easier than ever to send, collect and return parcels.
That’s why we’re working in partnership with Places for London (TfL Property Company) to expand our network of InPost Lockers across the capital. By installing lockers we’re making parcel collection simpler, more accessible, and better for Londoners on the move.
Why parcel lockers are a must
Delivering parcels to lockers instead of individual home addresses can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 66%* and is often a more cost‑effective option. With a single courier drop‑off point, lockers reduce failed deliveries as they can be collected as part of a routine trip for work or pleasure.
Parcel lockers also offer a convenient way to return online purchases. With around 22% of online orders returned*—particularly in fashion—lockers provide a simple, contact‑free option that saves time and reduces unnecessary travel.
What parcel lockers offer
InPost Lockers offer a Holy Trinity of parcel services: Send, Collect & Return.
Our Send service offers customers a more accessible way to send parcels from A to B. They can buy a label from our app or web and send it to any InPost Locker/ Shop/ home address. Once you’ve got a label, you can drop off at any InPost Locker wherever & whenever it works for you.
Our collect service makes ordering your online goodies stress-free. At checkout, choose any InPost Locker & pick up parcels on your terms. Collecting parcels from lockers at stations means you can pick up your order securely, at a time that suits you, as part of your regular journey. No missed deliveries, no waiting at home, no queues.
Returning parcels to Retailers also couldn’t be easier. Once a Return is set up, customers can drop off at any locker with space. Simple.

Question time with Gordana Hauselmaier, Commercial Asset Manager, TfL
Why introduce lockers at Tube stations?
E‑commerce is growing year on year, and lockers offer a simpler way to meet this demand. They provide convenient collection points for customers while helping reduce congestion, traffic noise and air pollution across London.
When were lockers first introduced on the TfL estate?
The first lockers were installed in 2014 at Victoria Coach Station and Buckhurst Hill station. Since then, installations have expanded significantly, particularly following the rapid growth of e‑commerce from 2020 onwards.
How have customers responded?
Feedback has been very positive. Customers value the convenience, safety and speed—especially the ability to collect parcels without queueing or printing labels.
What’s next for lockers across London?
We are aiming to continue expanding the locker network so that every Londoner has access within a short walking distance. Ongoing technological upgrades will further improve the customer experience.
Why lockers matter for transport hubs right now
Passenger numbers fluctuate, retail tenants often struggle with short dwell times, and competition for commuter spend is fierce. Lockers give hubs a new source of intentional visits that aren’t tied to timetables or rush hours.
Instead of traffic peaking with trains and buses, lockers spread visits across the day.
Someone might swing by before work, another after, and others during quieter midday periods. That creates a smoother flow of footfall for business tenants, reducing reliance on commuter spikes
Turning passing-by into loyalty
Transport hubs – train stations, bus depots, underground stops – are some of the busiest public spaces in the UK. Millions of people pass through daily, but for businesses and operators, the challenge is clear: how do you turn passing traffic into purposeful visits?
That’s where lockers come in. Nearly 7 in 10 users (69%) say they would switch to another hub if lockers disappeared.
